heres another of my pixcelations i have created i made this using play doh figures and manipulating them to create a very short story, i also use photoshop to try and bring the character to life and i liked the effect it created i am going to at some point over the holidays try and exstend this piece as i like where it was going. I want to explore other things i can possible created combinding materials and photo shop. and also try n get idea to develop though ohter peoples work such as PES......
okay here it is my final pixcelation the idea this this was all about contrasting sound, i wanted to see what effects i could create by make by playing with images and sound, i found that i wasnt so keen on the final result i feel i didnt explor differnt types of work enough and would like to of. But i feel i have given my self better idea of how everything works and would of like to had more time, if that would of been the case i would of redone my project from scratch and gone back to the drafting table. I feel i have learnt some valuable lessons for next time...

Finely here it is.... Our groups One Shot film... we were the last group to do one shot which meant we had a much sorter time then other groups so when the tape player decided to chew up our tape this was not good!!! luckily thanks to our teacher Chris he managed to cut the tape and get some footage off, which is why the image is a lil jump at the start, but if we'd of had time we would of liked to re film. but its a lesson learnt about of fragile these tapes are! i almost cried!! lol
but anyway heres our video the idea we went with was to create a film on dangers of drink driving by telling a short story using one shot which isnt the easiest method of filming as you have to pick your location carefully as theres no stopping, one shot from my point of view is something that can only be used for short films as theres no special effects that you would normally get from doing multiple shots. but overall im please as this is our first attempt and i dont think we did to bad... :-)

This Is my Interactive Narrative project, we were set a task to create a story in which the user has choices they can make as to where the story goes? eg alternative endings, i chose to make my story from drawing i drew and then manipulated using photo shop, this project was probably the hardest out of the 3. as Iv never used flash before so i got my hair off quite a bit with this one. I found the hardest part was trying to get the images in the correct order which was easy at first even tho we had been given a template to start from. then we received a new template dew to faults with the old one which fix the major problem i had faced... i am please with the out come :D as at times i never thought there would be one ... so here it is, enjoy..... xx

This was the original super mario which i believe just about everyone is familiar with i have put this on my blog to show how much gaming has changed of the years and how things have changed. the original was very 2d in unlife like. the music was very amiture and basic bleeping noises not much of a tune. it appears to be low budget material in the modern day.
iv struggled to find the actual game footage but i did manage to find a trailer as you can see this game has changed in so man ways over the years from the new colours the 3D effects the users has gained in a way a much more life like cartoon game, nitendo cleverly linked the mario lovers and sonic game lovers to form a new game for multiple players.

Betty Boop!!
Betty Boop in Roger Rabbit a film made later using real images and rotoscope tecniques combined.

(what i like about this film is that it shows how much animation has come along and
how its got to where its at now and you can see how other work were inspired, you can see this from looking and the shapes of characters through out the betty boop film which seem similar to some Disney Characters.
This film was the very first super man film by Max Fleischer it was filmed in 1941,
Fleischer was an amican animater, he created other works such as Betty Boop, Popeye and KoKo the Clown. He Rotoscope to create his films, (Rotoscoping is an animation technique in which animators trace over live-action film movement, frame by frame, for use in animated films, other famous animaters went on to use this technique such as walt disney in his 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dawfs) This method of animation was invented by Fleischer. this device has now been replaced by computers in recent years. Super man was created with the idea of giving caracters a more realistic sence of movement, you could say it was a development of his earlier works like betty boop. Rotoscope began to see colour in 1936, but the colours were very dull incomparison to todays modern colours sceams and HD.
recently Kanye West has used a more modern day for of roto scoping demonstrated in his video... sorry the videos not amazin quality...

This film kinda made me feel ill... this film was filmed completely by a hand held camera which means your eyes are constantly having to readjust themselves time and time again. although i feel this did work effectively for grabbing your attention and making you curious i do not feel this movie would suit all viewers... it was interesting to see the results of something intriguing

chris sawyer roller coaster tycoon 3

i chose to add this example of work to my blog because this game allows you to create your own game, you make the layout and decides what happens in this game. the user has control over what happens. the user creates the setting which means the user control's the plot.
what i like about this piece is the way it draws you in with the use of bright colours And 3D effects.

I have a real passion for computer arts theses are a few pieces of my work from my foundation course last year. i wanted to show theses to give a good idea of my interests.
These images were developted for my final major project they were all about how people in a western world treat life like a dance waving around the truth not really caring when people are suffering in the world.
White Board Induction
This was our first lesson work, we were set a task to make our own stop motion animation video using a white board the aim was to get the box to the other side of the board. I enjoyed creating the mini films as it meant we could be as imaginative as we liked. If id of had more time i probably would of made me clips to help the piece to flow better at high speed. each second contained 12 images which meant they were very time consuming, but still an interesting task.
Sony Advert
I chose the publish this advert by Sony onto my blog as its good a example of stop motion video. and it gives me inspiration to develop new idea's i like the way this was made so surreal, and its almost like its bringing nature and colour back to the dull and unimaginative city :)

week1 this week we did a few different task, one task was learning about how a camera captures an image in the simplest form, to do this we made our own camera, using a 440ml beer can, some black masking tape, black sellotape and some thick black card.
-we started by cutting the top of the can off with a can opener. (making sure the can was completely dry! of the photo paper would be damaged)
-then we filed down the sharp edges to prevent injury as later we had to be able to up our hand in and out of the can in the darkroom.
-then we made a lid for the can out of card, by placing the card over the can and cutting the edges to the shape of the can.
-the edges were taped into place using black masking tape (the tape had to be this black masking tape to stop any light getting into the can or it would not work!)
-then a pin hole was made in the can. putting black tape over the hole helped to indicate were we had placed the pin hole and kept the light out. (we had to be able to find the pin hole whilst in the dark room)
-once the camera was ready we went into the dark room and inserted the photo sensitive paper into the can making sure the gap was were the pin hole was. (shiny side on the inside)
-the lid was then replaced and we took the can outside to take the photograph. we held our thumbs over the pin holes to prevent any light from getting in.
-once we had decided were to take our photograph (some where with a lot of light is best as there is no flash, so the camera may not work indoors very well.) i sat my camera on a still bench and removed the tape covering the pin hole I let it stand for eight seconds.
-then i had to recover the hole and take it straight to the dark room and removed the paper and put it first into the developer. until the picture was develop properly, then into the stop bath to fix the image, then the photograph went into the wash for 5Min's.
The photo comes out in an inverted image so when its put into a computer it gives you something very interesting.

This was the image that I developt from my pin hole camera I was pleased with my image as it came out quite well in the consideration its not something iv tryed to do before now. because of the way the paper was folded it gave a really interesting curved affect on the pavment this normally would have been stright lines but because the paper is folded. An advantage of pin hole photographs its the whole image is in focus unlike digital images where only one section of the image is in focus. I would like to go on to develop this more by seeing what other effects would come out when something entirerly diffrent is photographed...
